In 1822, Polish physician Jedrzej Śniadecki discovered that sunlight could help treat rickets, but his findings were largely ignored. Only much later did solar therapy become widely used to treat rickets.

This happens in part because the body cannot absorb enough calcium from food without vitamin D.

But the sun doesn’t just strengthen your bones. It also sharpens your eyesight, regulates sleep, strengthens your heart, improves your mood, and floods your body with vital molecules like nitric oxide and serotonin.

We were never meant to live only at home. Get out: your body will thank you.
