A major Swedish study followed 30,000 women for over 20 years and found that those who actively sought out sun exposure had significantly lower mortality rates from cancer, heart disease and all causes.
The shocking part? Those who avoided the sun had roughly double the overall mortality rate.
Even heavy smokers who got enough sun had mortality rates similar to those of non-smokers who avoided it.
Sunlight appears to extend life thanks to vitamin D, nitric oxide and immune system support, yet we are still told to avoid it. Do you get enough sun?
