The article, titled \u00abVaccination targeting the SARS-CoV-2 S2 protein induces the production of broadly neutralizing antibodies\u00bb, argued that vaccination against the S2 protein produced antibodies capable of broadly neutralizing the virus. The decision came after an investigation by the Francis Crick Institute in London, where the first author, Kevin W.
